  4. This zip file contains modified files that allow you to:
  5. o       Use Ventura Publisher on your local drive while attached to a Local 
  6.     Area Network.
  7. o       Display scalable screen fonts.
  8. o       Print solid black rules near the edge of the page on Hewlett-Packard 
  9.     LaserJet printer.
  10. o       Print spot color overlays correctly.
  11. o       Corrects miscellaneous problems in the hyphenation.

  13. Installing the Patch:
  14. o       Unzip to a `TMP' directory: ie: `C:\TMP'.
  15. o       At the prompt, type: COPY C:\TMP\*.* C:\VENTURA and press ENTER.
  16.     Note: (If your \VENTURA subdirectory is on a drive other than C,
  17.         substitute that drive letter for "C".  
  18.        For example, COPY C:\TMP\*.* D:\VENTURA.)
  19.     The modified files overwrite existing files in the \VENTURA directory.
  20. o       Type DELETE C:\VENTURA\USER.WFT and press ENTER.
  21. o       Remove the files from the `TMP' directory.
  22. o       You may now run the 11/90 patched version of Ventura Publisher.
